Visit to Warsaw- May 2008- 12 Brethren and some of their wives, and also some Scottish Brethren visited the mother Lodge of  WBro Christophe Roulet  The very interesting weekend included talks from Prof Thaddeus, who explained some of the history of the architecture, and of the influence of Freemasonry in Warsaw. We where also treated to a tour of Warsaw and informed of the history and events regarding the Nazi invasion during WW2 and the subsequent occupation by Russian troops. The weekend, naturally included attending a Masonic meeting and subsequent festive board. We had a most interesting and welcoming weekend in Warsaw. A trip which all wish to make again.

26th& 27th September 2008 International Event & Ladies night- The highlight of the year, and once again a great success. The Friday evening started with the welcome of our many visiting Brethren and a ladies evening in the Royal Hotel. Saturday began with a Civic Reception at Bangor town hall. Hosted by the Mayor of Bangor, he welcomed our many visiting Brethren from overseas. Our international meeting was then held, which included a Exemplification of a 1st Degree by our visiting Brethren from Lodge Narod No. 4, Prague, Czech Republic. The evening concluded with a festive board and various other presentations, including a presentation by a visiting Australian Brother, WBro Roger Ottaway, on the influence of Freemasonry on the construction of the city of Adelaide.

18th October 2008 Visit to Lodge Ben Cleuch No 782 - Members of the Lodge joined members of other Lodges that sit in Bangor Masonic Hall for a trip to visit Lodge No 782 in Tillicoultry, Scotland. Another great trip and a pleasure to watch an installation under the Scottish Constitution. We, as usual, received a very warm welcome from our Scottish friends.

The RH Finlay Cup 2008golf competition was held at Carnalea Golf Club on Thursday 15th May 2008. There were 23 competitors of whom 13 were non-masons and many prizes were on offer. The overall winner was a non-mason, Roy Elliot, but the RH Finlay Cup for which only freemasons are eligible was won by W Bro David Whiting. The event raised £100 in donations, and a book written by a former Lodge member, golfer David Feherty, was balloted for a further £68.

In addition the participants put up £105 sponsorship for Bro William Johnston taking part in the Northern Ireland Kidney Patients Association cycle ride around the province. Altogether a successful fund raiser, and great fun day.

2007/2008 Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason degrees for Bro Jim Gillies and Bro John Perry. It is always a pleasure to have new members to the Lodge and it was great to be able to welcome new Brothers into our Lodge and the Fraternity

January 2009- Installation of Officers of 2009. It was great to be once again starting what looks like another great year for 746. It was great to see many of our visiting Brethren come to see the Installation of WBro Mark Brett back into the chair. It was also great to also be able to welcome 5 new affiliates into the Lodge. Proving that 746 is going from strength to strength.

7th February 2009- Another historic day for 746- It was with pleasure that members of the Lodge and many of our overseas friends where able to attend the Installation and Investiture of Officers at Provincial Grand Lodge. It was a particularly eventful day as we where able to witness the appointment of WBro Tom Monaghan as Grandmasters Standard Bearer, in recognition for his work promoting Freemasonry, particularly with his pivotal role with our International Events.

April 2009 Visit to Morden Lodge Newcastle, England_ Once again it was an honour to have members of 746 invited to Lodge Morden. Lodge Morden have been consistent visitors and supporters of 746 and it was with pleasure that a contingent from 746 were able to attend their Installation Ceremony. Once again, the Brethren were shown the differences between the workings under the English Constitution, and as usual the welcome and hospitality was outstanding. Our thanks and gratitude go out to the Worshipful Master and Officers and Brethren of Lodge Morden and we shall undoubtedly meet again in the near future.

09th November 2009 World War 1 Presentation

Back by request this extremely interesting presentation  included artefacts recovered from the Somme and examples of clothing and uniform worn. The presentation was narrated and depicted by Billy Thompson and Andy Harris, and had a distinctly Northern Irish feel, including written accounts from local men who served on the Somme. This event has proven very popular and was open to both Masons and non Masons, and the Worshipful Master and members of the Lodge took the opportunity to show visiting Brethren and non-masons our Lodge room and many of the artefacts that we possess, and to explain some of the key facts about Freemasonry and Bangor Masonic Hall.

January 2011- Installation of our new Worshipful Master- W.Bro TDB Stevenson- in this prestigious year- the 200 anniversary of Lodge 746. The Installation was greatly supported by members of the Lodge and we where honoured with the presence of many Provincial and Grand Lodge Officers, from the Irish and other constitutions. Again our great firends from Newcastle upon Tyne attended and ensured a memorable start to the year.

16th April 2011- Demonstration by Lodge Mordon, Newcastle Upon Tyne, of a First Degree from 1803. A magnificent day and presentation, in period costume, by the Brethren from Northumberland. This was the first time this had ever been enacted by the team in Ireland, and was fitting that this unique event was held by Lodge 746 on this our bi-centenary. Well supported by the Lodge with many prestigious guests in attendance.
